We are currently seeking a Technical UX/UI Project Manager to improve processes that contribute directly to creating great user experiences for our users.  This position will have a consultative approach in managing scope, timelines, x-functional collaboration and process. 

 

This high impact role will develop and drive a UX/UI Project Management strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.  Through technical credibility, the right person will ensure our talented Engineers have a solid understanding of and commitment to the overall methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-team initiatives, e.g. require resources from multiple different tribes, each of which may have their own set of priorities.
  • Identify, document, and drive on process improvements, e.g. more accurate effort estimates, increased team velocity, etc.
  • Create written project plans for multi-faceted, projects complete with details about technical dependencies, deployment order, etc. 
  • Proactively roll our product releases by managing all standard Agile processes, e.g. Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, features & defect management.
  • Work with direct and indirect stakeholders (QA, Product, project, development teams) to build the best applications and ensure cross-team goals and projects are achieved.
  • Ensure Product results and capabilities are aligned to the vision.
  • Work directly with Project, Product, QA, and Development teams to establish processes that ensure all targets and requirements are met.
  • Effectively communicate risks and issues to affected parties and actively participate in issue and conflict resolution.
  • Successful delivery of special projects.
  • Ensures completion of all specific deliverables and tactical initiatives required to support the programs.
  • Communicates program initiatives and status across the business. Develop and manage communication and coordination of cross functional teams across all areas. Defines and reports program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics.
  • Supports, manages, and influences continuous improvement of product/solution development / go to market lifecycle process, practices and initiatives.

 

This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. As part of our global technology team, you may be required to be work off-hours or be on-call on a rotating basis. Other duties may be assigned, as needed. MediaMath retains the right to change job duties at any time.

Qualifications

Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; MS in Engineering Management, Human Factors, or User Experience Design preferred  
  • At least 10 years’ direct experience in project management with software-as-a-service products or platforms [online advertising technology highly preferred]
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience building [mobile, desktop, and web] UI/UX interfaces in an Agile environment

Skills:

  • Experience with online advertising technology highly preferred
  • Experience with user-centered design and testing methodologies
  • Exhibited competency managing projects in JIRA (or other software-based Project Management suites).
