The Director of Communications will shape MediaMath’s voice in the market and ensure that it is heard leading our communications and media relations program globally.

  • Manage communications strategy and execution across key stakeholders including media, key partners, and others.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with editors and reporters at top tier, business, tech and trade press.
  • Manage inbound media requests across the company.
  • Develop and execute press strategies around partnership, product and key initiative launches.
  • Mitigate critical reputational issues.
  • Drive earned communications opportunities with key external stakeholders including industry analysts, consultancies and other third party validators.
  • Support communications engagement with key partners and resellers.
  • Identify key industry trends as they relate to MediaMath’s business positioning
  • Support dissemination of content through owned channels.
  • Support contributed content creation and pitching.
  • Manage PR agency relationship as it relates to the execution of media activities.
  • Oversee internal communications including company newsletter, quarterly business updates, etc.



This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. As part of our global team, you may be required to be work off-hours or be on-call on a rotating basis. Other duties may be assigned, as needed. MediaMath retains the right to change job duties at any time.



  • At least 8+ years’ media relations experience in digital media and advertising


  • Impeccable writing skills; ideally experience writing within the technology landscape or a similarly complex subject area; ability to convert our technical capabilities into clear, concise and compelling stories.
  • Strong project management skills – an organized individual who can prioritize themselves and others, driving momentum for numerous projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Experience advising and working with C-suite and experience mitigating crisis issues.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are required particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.



  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing, demanding but fun environment, be prepared to work flexibly and to go the extra mile to get the job done.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
