Mediamath’s Summer Internship Program is an immersive, 12-week experience designed to empower the future leaders in programmatic marketing.  You will gain broad industry knowledge and the critical thinking, business acumen and professional savvy necessary to thrive as a future thought leader in a rapidly evolving space. You’ll work on specialized projects, shadow subject matter experts, and learn from industry leaders across MediaMath, our partners, and clients, developing the knowledge, experience, and network you need to accelerate your career.    Our goal is to instill the marketing vocabulary, tech fluency, analytical know-how and strategic ability required to compete for job opportunities and build a long term, satisfying career in programmatic marketing and ad tech.  Learn how to solve complex problems at unprecedented scales and speeds, transforming the marketing industry by building a world class platform our clients love.  You will have the opportunity to work on every part of our stack, from user-facing layers to back-end services. From designing and building prototypes for our next-generation systems, to augmenting existing systems.


Potential Locations: NYC, Boston, Chicago


You may learn how to:

  • design, build, and maintain services in the cloud (AWS)
  • work with data at the GB and TB scale
  • design an architecture that suits the software's environments and requirements
  • automate the deployment of your software
  • develop software with the Agile methodology



  • Bachelor’s degree required; STEM degree ideal preferably in quant discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, etc.
  • Internship or professional experience in a fast-paced environment with data driven problem solving and/or quantitative reasoning.


  • An understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, network, data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with a compiled language (e.g. Go, C++, Scala, Java)
  • Experience with Linux and Bash would be great!
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to think creatively about challenging problem


  • An insatiable appetite for learning
  • Ability to self-manage, juggle multiple priorities, and pay strong attention to details
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to distill key ideas for a non-mathematical audience
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fun, and entrepreneurial environment


  • Graduate of a STEM program between December 2018– Spring 2019.
  • Satisfactory completion of employment eligibility and work authorization [I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form].
