Program Overview


MediaMath, the leading independent programmatic company for marketers, has teamed up with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), to create the Analytics in Digital Marketing Training Program. The program offers recent university graduates and early career professionals an exciting opportunity to launch their analytics careers in programmatic marketing while learning alongside some of the most forward-thinking people in the industry.


Who we’re looking for

  • Recent university graduates or early career professionals who desire to build a career in data analytics
  • Degrees in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Citizens of Singapore


How it works

  • Participants will spend the first year of the program, from February 2018 to February 2019, in training at MediaMath’s headquarters in New York City.
  • That first year of training will be split into two phases:
    • The initial 3 months will include in-depth training on the core tenets of the digital marketing / advertising technology industry.
    • The next 9 months will involve practical, on-the-job training using MediaMath’s proprietary T1 platform in the Analytics Department.
  • Following the first year of training, participants will return to Singapore to work in MediaMath’s office there as full-time employees on the Analytics team.

Data Analyst Job Description

The Analytics team fulfills customers’ advanced analytics and reporting needs through custom reports and analyses, advanced statistical applications, predictive modelling and interactive web dashboards to help clients effectively manage campaigns and optimize performance. 



  • Complete basic reporting and analytics needs; partner with Analytics Engineering for complex and advanced analytical solutions
  • Manage incoming requests; confirm prioritization; reporting on status updates identifying progress, dependencies and roadblocks to Engagement team
  • Actively manage ticketing queue; acknowledging and responding to tickets within a timely fashion, providing detailed updates, timelines, explanations or results.
  • Maintain scheduled reports and troubleshoot any failures; identify report failures as soon as possible, communicate to necessary teams, and apply fix
  • Communicate and partner with other teams to translate technical terms for a non-technical audience
  • Participate with client meetings as the reporting, analytics and data SME
  • Fundamental knowledge of MediaMath data process flows, databases and servers
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and processes and create efficiency

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, etc.)
  • Experience working with large data sets and understanding of analytic methodologies for evaluating data
  • Proven ability to think creatively about challenging analytic problems
  • Ability to self-manage, juggle multiple priorities, and pay strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to distill key ideas for a non-mathematical audience
  • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of relational databases, including querying and ETL
  • Strong Python and SQL programming skills; ability to write functions, programs, ad hoc reports and report automation (manage a crontab); basic knowledge of shell/ bash scripting
