We are currently seeking a highly qualified Agile Technical Project Manager to manage engineering Batch Supply projects from our London office.   

Responsibilities

Batch Supply is a predominantly core team for major cross tribe initiatives that directly impact the social media strategy. The Technical Project Manager for this team will be working on one hand with a highly technical product and engineering team based in London and on another hand planning & coordinating efforts with all engineering scrum teams based in New York HO under tight deadlines.

 

  • Plan, manage, drive and report on multiple project deliverables using agile software development processes for successful delivery in a predominantly cross tribe effort
  • Communicates program/project initiatives and status across core business units. Develops and manages communication and coordination of cross functional teams across all areas. Defines and reports program/project roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics.
  • Manages technical programs, projects and initiatives by working directly with Project, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
  • Shepherd prioritization discussions and maintain the communications framework for these discussions.
  • Constantly evaluate workflow, and identify opportunities to improve individual and team efficiencies with the overall intention to scale.
  • Act as Agile Coach, managing the end-to-end Scrum process of agile teams. Proactively roll out product releases by managing all standard Agile processes. (i.e. Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, features & defect management).
  • Work with other department managers to meet the company’s project goals.
  • Identify, document, and drive process improvements by data driven reporting and analysis (i.e. more accurate estimating, increased team velocity, etc.).
  • Create written project plans for multi-faceted projects, complete with details about technical dependencies, deployment order, etc. 
  • Work with other Project/Program Managers to:  establish best practices and standardize project management practices where appropriate, align on dependencies.
  • Effectively surface and communicate risks and issues to affected parties and actively participate in issue and conflict resolution.
  • Drive the successful delivery of special projects.
  • Ensures completion of all specific deliverables and tactical initiatives required to support the projects/programs.
  • Supports, manages, and influences continuous improvement of product/solution development/ go-to-market lifecycle process, practices and initiatives.

 

This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. As part of our global technology team, you may be required to be work off-hours or be on-call on a rotating basis. Other duties may be assigned, as needed. MediaMath retains the right to change job duties at any time.

Qualifications

We work in a fast-paced environment and are seeking a Technical Project Manager who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a distributed team. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with a passion for advertising technology and solving complex business and technical challenges.

 

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, another STEM field, or Business, OR have a proven track record of demonstrating equivalent knowledge.
  • At least 3-5 years’ direct experience in project management for Software Development Projects.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Certified scrum master.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and extremely well-organized.
  • Superb follow-through; propensity to approach tasks and goals with an ownership mentality.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with teams & stakeholders.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Exhibited competency managing projects in JIRA (or other software-based Project Management suites).
  • Experience with software-as-a-service products or platforms.
  • A personal interest in technology.
