We are currently seeking a senior individual to manage the team of Technical project and program managers (TPMs) primarily within the agile software development space.  He/she will be responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of engineering initiatives delivered in an agile project management framework.  He/she will establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered with optimized velocity, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. He/she is responsible for overseeing, directing, and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. He/she will work with the team to track key project milestones, adjust project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the customer, coordinate communication and efforts across all areas of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management and leadership of the TPMs in support of Engineering & Product Development efforts.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects according to the standards and expectations of the PMO.
  • Contribute to the development of project standards and ensure that project team members adhere to standards.
  • Work directly with Project, Product, QA, and Development teams to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
  • Shepherd prioritization discussions and maintain the communications framework for these discussions.
  • Work with the leads to draft the processes that allow the team to scale; Constantly evaluate workflow, and identify opportunities to improve individuals and team efficiencies. Continual process optimization and works as a change agent.
  • Maintain a high-level perspective on the overall team health and coach the team towards a vision/model for continual improvement.
  • Effectively and proactively communicate risks and issues to affected parties and actively participate in issue and conflict resolution.
  • Identify team/org friction, drive discussions toward productive change and takes corrective action, as appropriate.
  • Manage TPMs as appropriate to the implementation of project related activities.
  • Assist in gathering business requirements, as needed and requested by management.
  • Measure and report project performance, identify and control changes, verify and control scope by leveraging as much from an automated tool as possible (i.e. Jira)
  • Keep all project management documents current.
  • Support Process management initiatives and be a strong advocate by working seamlessly with Product Success, Process Improvement, Engineering Support organizations to foster their goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for selecting, developing, and managing staff in the most effective manner to meet objectives. Responsible for performance management, compensation decisions, rewarding and recognizing employees, and providing on-going, regular performance feedback.
  • Determine team’s objectives, sets priorities and manages to them.
  • Proactively engages stakeholder and IC to actualize change initiatives. Develops and/or encourages new ideas/approaches. Establishes procedures and practices which promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and sustainability of desired results in highly complex environments. Uses efficient and cost-effective approaches to integrate technology into the workplace and improve program effectiveness. Develops strategies using new technology to enhance decision making. Understands the impact of technological and process changes on the organization.
  • Ensures that effective controls are developed and maintained to ensure the integrity of the organization. Takes corrective action, as appropriate. Ensures that performance is aligned with mission, goals and outcomes and is completed within established timeframes. Monitors and evaluates highly complex plans; focuses on results and measuring attainment of outcomes. Has budget accountability.
  • Successful delivery of special projects.
  • Maintains an awareness of industry trends, business conditions and internal processes and practices to influence the success of programs and initiatives.
  • Communicates program initiatives and status across the business. Develops and manages communication and coordination of cross functional teams across all areas. Defines and reports program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics.

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering
  • Previous leadership position
  • Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required.
  • 10 Years+ program management; Possesses strong program & project management background
  • At least 4 years’ experience working in an Agile environment managing large scaled programs
  • Expert in leveraging Jira & wiki for reporting purposes
  • Strong attention to detail, extremely well-organized, and time management skills
  • Superb follow-through; propensity to approach tasks and goals with an ownership mentality
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, Ability to develop and entrench change techniques in an organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with teams & stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and work independently with limited supervision ess
  • Professional Scrum Master & Professional Scrum Product Owner Certifications
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience in leading complex hardware, software or application solution development projects
  • Skilled leading and working with geographically distributed teams

  • Experience with online advertising technology
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified
