We are seeking a senior sales leader with a proven history of leading and managing large enterprise clients, in a competitive, dynamic, and evolving marketing space.  Ideally, the candidates experience will include management of and selling to media agency holding companies. As the Global Account Lead for one or more media agency holding companies, you are the senior strategic lead on the global relationship, developing strategies to grow the partnership. In close partnership with local market sales leadership, you will engage with senior operations, investment and executive-level contacts at the client, and be expected to establish, develop, and deepen the relationships that will allow our partnership to grow.  You must have or develop encyclopedic knowledge of marketing and the advertising technology industry, and the ability to design synergistic solutions that leverage partners within and without the MediaMath partnership ecosystem.  You must also be able to navigate complexity, build good internal relationships, and hold people accountable. 

Responsibilities

  • Formulate account strategies that center on value creation and articulate value propositions MediaMath can offer to the client’s business to drive revenue
  • Build relationships, open doors, and create revenue opportunities
  • Partner with the agency holding companies to design, iterate, and evolve joint, multi-year roadmaps that address their (and by extension their clients’) priorities
  • Work closely with the local market sales leadership (especially in the US) to create and activate against new business opportunities; where necessary, act as an escalation point for existing local market activity
  • Work cross-functionally, activating key business units within MediaMath to ensure revenue goal achievement,
  • Lobby for product initiatives and data/technology/supply integrations that are necessary for partnership growth with our key agencies; act as the key agency advocate internally at MediaMath
  • Articulate commercial strategy and opportunities to head of Global Agency Strategy and the MediaMath executive team, including progress on the tactical plan to execute against pipeline opportunities

Qualifications

Background

  • 5-7+ years of strategic sales experience, ideally in the in online/digital/display advertising industry in outbound sales (preferably ad serving, data, exchanges, SaaS, or SEM).
  • Proven experience in other SaaS models with knowledge of digital advertising business

 

Skills

  • History of hitting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Encyclopedic knowledge of the online media business and technology landscape

 

Traits

  • Proven ability to establish meaningful relationships throughout all levels of client organizations with a track record of retaining key clients
  • Strong listening, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.  Personable, charismatic, and positive
  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Diligent work ethic. Must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding, and fun entrepreneurial environment
  • Global experience a big plus
  • Successful experience selling in to agencies a huge plus
  • Existing senior relationships at large media agencies a huge plus
  • Ability to understand and navigate the media agency holding company world, especially Omnicom
  • Positive outlook and fun to work with
